An overview of safety requirements for welding cutting and brazing in a general industry workplace. Overview The term ‘Hot Work’ refers to any designated welding, cutting and/or brazing operations. These procedures pose a unique set of hazards, such as fire, explosion, toxic atmospheres, electrical shock and ultraviolet radiation which in turn cause a higher rate of employee injury.
