What's at Stake?

Do you think it's a good idea for the worker in this picture to be sticking his hand into that machine? Sticking your hands into a machine is an excellent way to lose your fingers and maybe your whole hand. The good news is that the machine in this picture, a mechanical power press, has a guard to prevent workers from reaching inside.
