Yes

When Must Notice Be Given?

Immediately, but not more than 30 days after the accident.

Exemptions to Notice Requirements

Failure to give notice may be excused if employer had knowledge; if employer has begun paying compensation; or if notice is given within 1 year, and employee had good cause for not giving notice. .

Effect of Failure to Notify Employer

Claim may be barred if failure to give notice is not excused.

Other Provisions

If employer fails to object to lack of notice at the first hearing, the notice requirement is waived.
