Yes

When Must Notice Be Given?

Within 30 days of the accident or death.

Exemptions to Notice Requirements

If employee is unable to give notice, or is otherwise excused by the workers’ compensation board, or if employer had knowledge of the injury, or was not prejudiced by the lack of notice.

Effect of Failure to Notify Employer

Unless excused, lack of notice shall bar compensation.
