When Must Notice Be Given?

As soon as practical, but no later than 60 days after the injury.

Exemptions to Notice Requirements

If payments for compensation have been made voluntarily, or if application requesting a hearing has been filed with the workers compensation commission.

Effect of Failure to Notify Employer 

Claim proceeding shall be barred.
