Pipe Fitting Company Cited for 47 Alleged Serious Violations Issued $116,500 in Proposed Fines

OSHA conducted an inspection after a worker crushed his hand between a rotating unguarded drum drive wheel and a pipe. OSHA cited the company for failure to provide machine guarding on lathes, drum drive wheels and saws, failure to provide fall protective equipment, failure to protect workers from electrical hazards, and failure to provide training for forklift operations and hazard communication.
