Course Description
This lesson will foster awareness of the hazards of mold and mildew and teach you how to act if the presence of, or suspected exposure to, mold has occurred. Both mold and mildew are fungi common in wet environments. Mold is the more serious of the two because it spreads easily, can be well hidden, causes allergic reactions, and can cause severe respiratory problems if it is black mold. Mold is also very difficult to eliminate once it is present. On the other hand, mildew, while it can cause the same allergic reactions, is easier to eliminate than mold because it doesn’t spread as easily or is hidden. Through this course, you will learn ways to identify mold and mildew and reduce their presence, before it hurts or costs you.
