VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, SEXUAL ASSAULT & STALKING

Employers Affected:
Employers with 25 or more employees
Notice of rights to be provided to each employee in writing, The information must be provided to new employees upon hire and to other employees upon request.
Requirements:
Employer may not discharge or in any way retaliate against an employee who is a victim of domestic violence, sexual assault or stalking for taking time off to:
- seek medical attention for injuries;
- obtain services from a domestic violence shelter, program or rape crisis center
- obtain psychological counseling
- participate in safety planning and take other actions to increase safety
Employee must provide notice of intent to take time off unless such notice is not feasible.
